Eco Ninjas: A Commitment to Sustainability and Quality
At Eco Ninjas, the past few months have been incredibly busy. Our commitment to producing high-quality products aligns with our sustainability goals and supports the NHS in its pursuit of a greener future.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
As a trusted supplier to the NHS, Eco Ninjas understands the importance of reducing our environmental impact. We are proud to play a part in the NHS's Net Zero Supplier Roadmap and are committed to supporting the NHS's goal of achieving Net Zero by 2045.
Key actions we have undertaken include:
- Developed a PPN 06/21 Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) to align with NHS procurement requirements.
- Measured our carbon emissions in accordance with the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard.
- Implemented strategies to reduce emissions across our operations and supply chain.
- Continuously worked towards supporting a low-carbon healthcare system.
Evergreen Assessment
We are pleased to announce that Eco Ninjas has successfully completed the NHS Evergreen Sustainable Supplier Assessment, resulting in a Level 2: Comprehensive rating — which includes net-zero targets and reporting for carbon emissions. This achievement provides a clear pathway for ongoing progress and enhances our credibility within the healthcare sector.
ISO 9001 Certification
We are thrilled to share that Eco Ninjas has officially achieved ISO 9001 Certification in Quality Management. Achieving ISO 9001 Certification is a significant milestone — it signifies that we have implemented internationally recognised quality management processes. From customer support to product delivery, this certification ensures we provide quality-focused processes that better meet your needs and exceed expectations.
Cyber Security Compliance
Eco Ninjas is now Cyber Security compliant, ensuring we can protect data and meet regulatory requirements while maintaining operational integrity. This provides our customers with peace of mind knowing that your information is safe with Eco Ninjas.
First Implementation: Theatre Badge Hat Range
Our recent implementation of the theatre badge hat range at Orthopaedic Theatres at Musgrove Park Hospital in Somerset has received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Surgeons and registrars have praised the personalised badge hats, which help them remember each clinician's name and role — information that can often be forgotten after the morning brief.
Knowing all the names and roles of the staff in the operating theatre improves communication and teamwork. Students and new staff members have also expressed how the use of name badges has helped them feel more connected and integrated into the team.
As we move forward, we look forward to sharing further updates — including measured impact and a detailed case study in future blogs.
