At Eco Ninjas, the past few months have been incredibly busy, and we are excited to share our journey with you. We are fully committed to producing high-quality products that align with our sustainability goals and support the NHS in its pursuit of a greener future.

We will also share preliminary feedback of our theatre badge hat range.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

As a trusted supplier to the NHS, Eco Ninjas understands the importance of reducing our environmental impact. We are proud to play our part in the NHS’s Net Zero Supplier Roadmap and are committed to supporting the NHS’s goal of achieving Net Zero by 2045.

To ensure we are meeting this commitment, we have undertaken several key actions:

  • Developed a PPN 06/21 Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) to align with NHS procurement requirements and contribute to the NHS Net Zero Roadmap.

  • Measured our carbon emissions in accordance with the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard.

  • Implemented strategies to reduce emissions across our operations and supply chain.

  • Continuously worked towards supporting a low-carbon healthcare system.

Sustainability is a journey, and we are proud of the measurable progress we have made so far.

Evergreen Assessment

We are also pleased to announce that Eco Ninjas has successfully completed the NHS Evergreen Sustainable Supplier Assessment. This self-assessment and reporting tool resulted in Eco Ninjas receiving a Level 2: Comprehensive rating, with net zero targets and reporting for carbon emissions.

This achievement is instrumental in helping us understand how we align with the NHS’s long-term sustainability priorities and provide a clear pathway for ongoing progress.

ISO 9001 Certification

We are thrilled to share that Eco Ninjas has officially achieved ISO 9001 Certification in Quality Management.

At Eco Ninjas, we believe that success is built on continuous improvement. Over the past several months, we have been focused on refining our internal processes to ensure we provide the highest quality service to our customers. Achieving ISO 9001 Certification is a significant milestone in this journey, as it signifies that we have implemented internationally recognised quality management processes.

This certification reflects our dedication to excellence and highlights the commitment of our team, who have worked tirelessly to enhance efficiency and improve our operations.

What Does This Mean for You?

For our customers, ISO 9001 Certification is a promise that we are constantly striving for higher standards and ensuring that our operations meet rigorous quality benchmarks. From customer support to product delivery, this certification ensures that we are aligned with quality-focused processes, allowing us to better meet your needs and exceed your expectations.

Cyber Security Compliance

In the digital age, cybersecurity is of utmost importance, particularly for the NHS, which handles sensitive patient data. We are pleased to inform our customers that Eco Ninjas is now Cyber Security compliant, ensuring that we can protect data and meet regulatory requirements while maintaining operational integrity. This compliance provides our customers with peace of mind and trust when placing orders with us.

Social Value

We are committed to creating a positive social impact through our robust social value strategy. By aligning our initiatives with local needs, we aim to create social, economic, and environmental benefits that not only enhance our community but also strengthen our reputation with our customers.

First Implementation

Our recent implementation of the theatre badge hat range at Orthopaedic Theatres at Musgrove Park Hospital, Somerset has received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Surgeons and Registrars have provided great feedback that the personalised badge hats help them remember each clinician’s name and role, which they often forget after the morning brief so knowing all of the names and roles of the staff in the operating theatre is improving communication and teamwork.

Additionally, students and new staff members have expressed how the use of name badges has helped them feel more connected and integrated into the team.

We look forward to sharing further updates, including measured impact and a detailed case study, in future blogs. Stay tuned!
